How To Be 100% Sure Your Sins Have Been Eternally Forgiven
• One—Admit your sinful and guilty condition before a Holy God.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
• Two—Understand that your “good works” (church attendance, baptism, etc.) will never earn you God’s forgiveness.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
• Three—Repent (change your mind about your sin and about Who Jesus is).
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…” Acts 3:19
• Four—Place your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
If you want to be rescued from your sin and its penalty, you must believe on the Lord Jesus sincerely from your heart. Simply tell God that you know you are a sinner and that you believe Jesus died and rose again for your salvation from sin. Trust only in Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and make you a new person.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:17
After becoming a true Christian, the next step is being baptized and joining a Bible-believing church. Read the Bible and pray every day, and the Lord will lead you all along the way.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
